The name Top Notch Barbershop came from a simple, genuine moment. After a fresh cut, a client looked in the mirror, smiled, and said, “This is top-notch.” That one compliment sparked a vision: to build a barbershop in Saskatoon where exceptional service, consistent quality, and a welcoming experience are standard—not extras.

In December 2019, that vision became a reality when Top Notch Barbershop opened its doors in the heart of Broadway, Saskatoon. Just two months later, the COVID-19 pandemic brought unexpected challenges. Like many small businesses, we had to shut down—but we didn’t give up. With resilience, passion, and the support of our amazing clients and dedicated team, we came back stronger.

Said the Barber
Owner & Master Barber
Said graduated from Marvel Beauty School in 2015 and earned his Journeyman certification in 2018. With training and experience in France, Morocco, and Canada, Said has developed a global perspective on modern barbering. Over the years, he has refined his expertise in natural hairstyles, big chop transitions, fades, hair tattooing, straight razor shaves, and beard design.

Passionate about continuous growth, he regularly attends advanced training courses and industry expos to stay on top of trends. Known for his precision and patience, Said prioritizes thorough consultations to create styles that fit each client’s personality and lifestyle. His work has become well-recognized across Saskatoon, establishing him as one of the city’s go-to barbers.
Chad
Barber
Chad trained at MC College in 2018 and has built almost 8 years of experience in the industry. Known for his skills in blending fades and working with Afro-textured hair, Chad has quickly built a loyal clientele. Reliable, talented, and approachable, he’s the go-to barber for many in Saskatoon.

When not at work, Chad enjoys golfing, football, and basketball — making him the perfect barber to chat sports with during your cut.
Cody
Barber
Cody is known as the shop’s personal shot of espresso — high-energy, funny, and always entertaining. A graduate of MC College in 2018, he brings over 7 years of barbering experience to the team. Cody specializes in fades, beard trims/lineups, working with Afro-textured hair, and cutting stylish mullets.

When you sit in Cody’s chair, expect laughter, great conversation, and a sharp cut. Outside the shop, he’s passionate about tattoos, movies, video games, and music.
Haris Mirza
Barber
Haris graduated from MC College in 2020 and has built a reputation for precision and creativity behind the chair. His specialties include fades, beard work, and sharp lineups, with a passion for complete transformations — from the “before” look to the styled finish. Clients can expect detailed consultation, personalized recommendations, and a haircut tailored to their lifestyle.

When he’s not cutting, Haris enjoys gaming, watching sports and TV, fishing, and summer motorcycle rides.
Joel Casey
Barber
Originally from New Zealand, Joel earned his Certificate in Commercial Barbering, Level 4, from Cut Above Academy in Auckland. With over 5 years of experience (3 full-time), Joel specializes in fades, tapers, classic tidy-ups, and mid-length scissor cuts. After careers in both Australia and New Zealand, Joel moved to Canada seeking adventure and a fresh start. His only regret? Not starting barbering sooner!

Outside the shop, Joel enjoys sports, hanging out with friends, and time at the lake. He has grown to love Saskatoon and the community he now calls home.
Raja Shariq Ahmed
Barber
Raja graduated from MC College in 2021 and is now a Journeyman Hairstylist with several years of experience. Skilled in working with all hair types — Asian, Caucasian, and Afro-textured — his specialties include skin fades, beard trims, and scissor cuts. Raja’s passion comes from making people smile; nothing is more rewarding for him than seeing clients leave feeling confident after a fresh cut.

Outside the barbershop, Raja enjoys fishing, riding his motorcycle, playing soccer, and watching UFC fights.
Kristian Korkis
Barber
Kristian, a graduate of Lakeland College (2023), brings over 5 years of experience to the chair. His love for barbering began early, inspired by watching his uncle cut hair in his shop. Kristian prides himself on delivering top-tier service, fresh styles, and the confidence boost that comes with a great haircut. He enjoys working with all hair types and techniques.

In his free time, Kristian loves sports and connecting with new people.
